linkage rods
« on: December 28, 2012, 12:32:50 PM »
well i seem to have run into another problem today, built my tail up  so wanted to do the tail controll rod next so started looking for the apropriate 78m rods that go inside the carbon tube so while at it i thought id check the rest of the links and this is what i can find
3x102m rods throttle and pitch rods
2x 126m rods aileron
2x78m rods elevator
3x 43m rods swash to bellcranks
now all these are bang on the exact size the book states, now the book say the pitch links should also be 78m but i only have 2 left that are 80m,,there should also be 2 at 78m that go in the carbon push rod but i dont have them but i am left with what was a sealed pack with 2 rods at 30m 2 ballinks and 2 lengths of what looks like clear heatshrink at 80m each

There are a couple typos in the manual.

Quote
Page A23 - Manual says to use 78mm rods to assembly Tail Push Rod. This is incorrect, please use the included 30mm Rod. If 78mm Rods are used, you will no have enough rods to finish the head assembly.

Check out the manual corrections and the rest of the tips and tricks:
