Cyclic Digital Servos
« on: May 23, 2015, 04:38:39 PM »
Hi,

I finally decided to go N5c!     My question is servos ---I replaced the ones in my Sceadu EVO over winter with  Futaba S9452 s:

Volts   Torque   Speed
4.8V   102 oz-in (7.4 kg-cm)   0.13 sec/60°
6.0V   128 oz-in (9.2 kg-cm)   0.11 sec/60°

Are they sufficient for a sports flyer like me?      If so, should I run at 6.0V ?  (getting close to retirement and I hate to blow another wad for brushless)   ::)

  tnx,  Pete

My very first N5 had no BLS JR servos.  Those specs should be fine for sport flying at 6V.  I would not run 4.8.  The use of LiFe batteries for power would be just the ticket.  Just watch your tail servo voltage though.  May need to regulator.  If so PM me. I have some just lying around.

Cheers

Alan
