Synergy 516 lading Skid
« on: January 06, 2019, 04:17:50 PM »
I don't know if anyone has the same issue that when I fly in colder conditions in the Winter at 28 degrees
celsius  the landing gear seams to break very easy.
is there something that I can do to make thi a little stronger
Thanks

I had the same thing happen during my maiden flight. It was 25 degrees F outside, set it down with a little too much negative pitch. Snapped the rear landing strut right side and took out a brand new set of rail tail blades.  :'(

I have never tried it but I heard that boiling the landing gear and let them cool slowly would make the plastic less brittle in the cold.
