Scorpion motor connectors
« on: January 02, 2013, 05:35:30 PM »
The male end is on the scorpion motor but for my CC120 I don't have motor connectors.  Will I just pick these up at a bigger hobby shop?  The one close to me didn't have any that I saw, but heading to GA tomorrow.

It's best to pick up the Castle Creations 6.5mm bullet connectors as I found out. WAY easier to solder together. You'll have to remove the existing ends from the motor but well worth it.

The connectors on the ends of the motor are banana plugs and should be removed anyway (per Matt).  This is not required but, standard bullet connectors make a better connection.  The stock Scorpion female connectors should have been included in the motor box none the less.

Suggest Castle bullets or if you use PRC 6 connectors those bullets work well also.

Cheers

Oh, so I can just use some of the extra PRC6 bullets I have.  I ordered an extra set by accident but looks like it will be paying off.  That may be the solution just in case I don't find the CC bullets in store.  So then just put the female ends on the ESC and replace the male end with the male PRC6.

Works fine. Same style connector as the Castle 6.5mm.

I ordered the CC 5.5mm connectors for my CC HV120 before I saw this thread.  Will they be big enough for those wires on the ESC motor wires?
