Battery position
« on: January 10, 2013, 06:18:34 PM »
I was testing the CG today testing where Im going to place my 6s 4500 TP battery. I did not have the blades on but the battery was sticking almost 1.5 inch out the front of the Heli. Is this normal? What do you guys have?

I'm running 12s and my battery sticks out much more than that to get CG.  Probably about 2.5 to 3 inches depending on the batteries I use.

1 1/2" half is about right for the pack you are running.  That is the reason that both Alan and I were telling you not to locate  and unnecessary equipment behind the main shaft (IE: BEC).  If you had you would be hard pressed to get a battery strap on the battery as your CG crept further to the rear .
