Anyone experienced BEC failures on the Talon 90 sending full voltage to the electronics and burning them up? I have only read about this.
-
I have ran the Talon series on numerous helis, never had an issue. It's a proven product when used in the correct application.
-
None that I know of.

Hey, I talked to Laura, and she told me that in the repair department they rarely see the talons come back. They are a good and sturdy unit, so that may have just been a faulty one. She said that she rarely hears anyone call in with issues with them as well. There is one airplane motor that the talon 90 does not like to work with and it is an extreme flight motor, but couldn't remember which one. It is hard to say without seeing the unit what exactly happened.

CC had the same issue with their BEC Pro at one time, but it was usually when running from a 12S input. I hope that issue isn’t coming back.
-
I run the Talon 90 in my 516 and the Talon 120HV in my E5ss with no issues on either one. I've had the 120HV in my super stretch for a couple of years now, on 12S, without a hiccup.

Mine craped out on the 3rd flight, I need to send it back in, had another one, been flying great, about 40 flights
-
I just had another one crap out on my outlaw.
-
Damn, not good luck at all! :o
-
What’s ur set up?... that’s very odd!
-
The one my 516 is holding up, first stopped after 3rd flight, this one now has about 100 flights. My one in the EF outlaw craped out after 50 flights, I know I'm pushing it very hard, outlaw speed is everything, so far 156mph , have speed tube on it tell the speed just like a real plank.

Sent them off to castle, have not hear back yet.
