Pinion / Main gear alignment?
« on: August 12, 2015, 07:19:16 PM »
Hi Guys
Re building my n7 after a crash, note that the gear is not aligned with the pinion. The pinion is about 1.5 mm on the gear. This is normal?
On another subject, someone over there has upgraded the n7 tail pitch slider with the E7SE TPS?
Thanks

Antonio,

Do you have the main shaft shim on the bottom of the transmission assembly? Please check page 39 of the N7 manual.

Also make sure the lower collar has the boss facing down.

Both of these assembly items will cause your main gear to be lower than your pinion.

Thanks,

Matt

How bad was the crash?

On another note... I can see from the pic of the spur gear hub that the transmission bolt has been over tightened. The aluminum is deformed where the M3 Nylock nut seats. The shoulder of the bolt is long enough to prevent pinching of the spur gear hub so technically you can not put tension stress on the bolt. However, you can destroy the nylock nut and threads of the bolt in a very critical location.

Thanks,

Matt

Lose main and tail blades, skids, broken clutch
On first building, i screwed the bolts Tightly. After that, I read the post where recommended dont do it.
Thanks
