Ball Link Pliers

(1/2) > >>

peteowlsmith:
Hi,

While I have a pair of ball link pliers from FBL Rotors, they seem to be a bit thick to fit between some parts on my N5c.  Problem areas are the ball links for the tail blade and Futaba servo horns.

Has anyone tried the JR ones JRP960242   ?

      tnx, Pete

Mike Spano:
i ran into the same issue. tail rod, and on the servo wheels. with some diligence it can be done without damaging anything, so that is what I do, just take my time. I have never tried those you linked there, but I have used the align ones and just dremeled the hole out larger.

Maxturbine:
The tips of the pliers will not fit underneath a ball that is resting on the servo arm or bell crank. There must be a stand off like the stand offs that are use on the E Series.

I have this noted on the site.

* The bronze fork is thicker than the stainless side.  You will not be able to snap off the ball link if the ball is resting on the servo horn or has minimal clearance.

I may make a secondary stainless fork to replace the bronze.

Buy a pair of Revolution ball link pliers and modify the opening.  These will get you closer.

I still want it.. Lol... It's on my list of "to get".

Danny Dugger:
I still have a set of Ralph's old black handle Synergy link pliers and use them for all the low clearance links. I've always wondered if there would be some thinner forks made for the newer ones.
