Why is everything I'm trying to order for my 516 say its out of stock? I just bought a rtf from helifreak. I need more battery trays, tray locks, straps , white grease.....it all says out of stock in red.

Thats great but I haven't got my question answered. Is it because of the new cnc shop that he's switching too where there's a delay in production? Or something else? Wondering if its temporary or going to be a long while.

On the newly made 3d locking clips, if I put one of those on... it looks like theres a stationary part that goes on the main frames. Once installed, wouldnt that not let me use the factory steel one as it would be in the way? Or can I click the original in a hole in front of it?

I would imagine the shortages is temporary. Matt is awesome in standing behind and supporting his helicopters. The 3D printed lock goes where the metal one would have gone. You will not need the metal locking mechanism. That helps keep the cost down as I believe the last time I looked that mechanism was 25.00. You can buy 3 of the 3D printed ones

Matt is the only person that can answer your supply question.

On the tray locks. I am printing them with Matt’s blessings. They are also available for download on thinguniverse I believe.
Once installed they do preclude the use of the metal latch. So switching back and forth would not be recommended. They do work well. Both my 516 and 696 have them installed.

Well, thank you all for your feedback.... that answers all my questions. Oh yes one more thing as far as parts go....I need all the 4 parts to install in a 2nd canopy I have. I think Alan or amain had the rubbers for the front but it looked like nobody had the metal ones for the back. I can wait if no one has them but if you know someone who does let me know-I'll buy now....I'm excited to do my maiden flight this weekend after my friend sets me up electronically. Cheers!

I have tons of grommets. I may have a couple of the male keychain mounts if that is what you are missing. I also have a new front mount I will send you. It eliminates the front pins. Will check in the keychain mounts for the rear in the morning.
