E7se boom support screws
« on: July 12, 2013, 07:22:26 AM »
Were the screws for the forward top boom support in the kits? It's the 2 screws that install into the brackets that tighten down onto the tube com the top. I see threads there but no screws, are they required? Help.

If I understand correctly, you are referring to the 310-111 Main Boom Clamps.  The threaded holes in the top of these clamps can be used to "pin" the boom, or keep it from pulling out.  There is also a threaded hole in the side of the tail box for the same purpose.

It's important to pin the tail box but the forward ones are optional.  I leave mine out.  See here for more info:

Understand, I have staked the tail on the side and I will also not do the boom supports up front. I think there is good support with the 2 collars that it want need the top screws. Thanks.
