What governor sensor/bracket to use
« on: September 24, 2015, 05:49:49 AM »
I initially installed an Align sensor and magnets. But I found it difficult to properly fix the Align bracket to the N7's bracket. I ended up using just one srew and that was not good enough, so no it is ruined. Do you folks know about another sensor/magnet that is easy to install on the N/

No magnet needed here. I like revlimiting the motor over the head... if you could do both?

KDE Direct backplate sensor bracket and Spektrum RevLimit Sensor.

It works for me.

I actually use both on the N5C... Align magnet sensor on the clutch bell for the iKon gov & the KDE/Spektrum backplate for the telemetry unit. Works well.

Thank you guys, but none of this really helps me. I have an Align sensor (to Ikon) that does not fit very well. I am wondering if anybody know another type that fits the bracket in the N7 better.

That should be a plug'n'play fit.

I use the futaba sensor and it bolts right up.

I'm a little confused, how is the Align sensor not fitting properly on your machine? It is a popular choice and should fit perfectly.

Thank you Danny for useful pictures, but like me you have only been able to fix it with one screw and then it easily comes loose. But you have done it a little different than me, I'll use your pictures as a guideline here.

Use a nut with loctite. This part is not under any stress so the one bolt will hold it fine, you just need some loctite to secure it from vibration. No problem! That sensor has held on through a couple crashes and never moved.

I use the baseplate sensor from Spektrum on my N7.  It works very well with my OS .91 HZ F3C Speed motor and the Neo FBL controller.  Easy Peasy install.

Depending on fbl unit, vbar use spectrum backplate, cgy750
Use the futab bps-1. Both have been incredibly accurate for me!

I use the Align sensor with a single bolt with lockwasher and loctite. Multiple gallons through the birds and it has not moved a bit.
