Hi all, a few month's back I told my wife I was not going to build anymore helicopters. Then, news of a Synergy 516... uggg, Well, maybe just one more. With the exception of the N9, I have built and flown every Synergy ever made. I have flown just about every brand. Honestly , not kissing up, Just love these machines and I'm excided for another build... ;D ;D ;D

Just started my second one for the year 2 days ago. First one was a 766 in the 806 config. Not long ago the E7SE went in, was a rekit. So just got another 766 kit, and not going to stretch it.

Welcome to the "I may have too many helicopters but I still need another one because there's a new Synergy kit coming out" support group. You'll definitely not be judged by anyone in this group! :D

The 516 will be my first Synergy. I chose that heli because Synergy is one of only two manufacturers that got a 500-520 heli right IMO (the other was the now-defunct DT Heli).
If the other models had belt driven tails, I'd consider them. I'm not a fan of torque tubes.

I read story after story about issues people have with TT setups on other brands. One time, with my E7SE, I broke the tail fin and rear landing gear struts in a really hard "landing". Before I hit throttle hold, it proceeded to grind my tail blades down to stubs on the asphalt. Zero damage to any of the gears in the TT drive train, both front and back. The only other TT setups I have any experience with were the Blade 130X and 180CFX. The TT setup on both of those made me want to smash them with a hammer.
