Hi everyone. I haven't built my kit yet but I'm placing an order soon with Boto-Store and wondering if I should try a different pinion. The kit comes with a 13T if I'm remembering correctly. I'm running a Kosmik Cool 160 ESC with a Kontronik Pyro Competition 750-50L which is 500kv in the 766 configuration. I'm looking for 1950 HS. According to Mr.Mel headspeed app, that'll be 85% and I think generally people say to stay at about 80%. The 14T would have me at about 75% or so. Should I stick with the 13T at 85% or go with a 14T? I fly 3D but not hardcore at all. Flips, rolls, tic-tocs... Looking for a good solid 4 minutes of flight time. Thanks.

P.S. I know the manual has a chart in the back but I'm working all weekend and my stupid smart phone just updated and now I can't open my Kindle app to view the manual. Don't you just love updates?

I will always welcome advice but just to be fair, I finally got my phone working enough I can open the manual with a different app so I could read the manual. Looks like I should go with the 14T and stock tail gearing for a 1950 HS. Please let me know if I'm wrong but it looks like that's what's recommended. Thanks.

I a 4530-500 on 12s with the stock 13t pinion and I'm not having any trouble holding head speed. My esc is cool and happy. Matt took a pull on mine at his Fun Fly and the logs showed even with his harder flight style (compared to my sport flying) the power only hit 100% a couple of times. I think you'll be fine with the stock pinion.

GREAT!!! Thanks a bunch Chris! I'll stay with the stock pinion then. What HS were you running? I'm going to build my N5C first then on my vacation build the 766. Going to order the stuff to make another battery tray as I bought 2 Pulse 45C 12S 5000 stick packs for the 766 at Joe Nall Week. Thanks again.

I'm running 1660/1800/1960 and around 13° of collective pitch. It's a blast!
