Title: 8mm Pinions
Post by: mahbouni on November 22, 2012, 03:50:43 PM
Are there any plans to produce pinions with 8mm bore so we can try the Pyro 800-48?

I don't think the pyro 800 fits between the frames. Frame width is 60mm isn't it?

62 mm spacing, but 800 is 63mm. You'd have to put washers or spacers  to widen frames to make it fit.

Pinions could be drilled a bit, not sure if ok to enlarge hole from 6mm to 8mm.

Ahh I was reading the spot for max motor on a different thread. Thanks for the clarification.

it's a really nice motor, no doubt. Keep us posted if you decide to go and do the trial.

If the motor is too wide then I'm not going to mod anything. Was just wondering if it will work. There is a Pyro 750 being tested by some pilots over here.

The Pyro 750 would be a better option! It will have more than enough power for the E7.
