Has anybody tried upgrading the threaded control linkages with Lunsford turnbuckles that are adjustable. I was thinking about replacing them with the 3x43mm Lundsfords. Any opinion on this would be greatly appreciated.

The Synergy turnbuckles are 2.5mm, looks like the Lundsfords are 3mm so I think they are too big.
These works great on the E5

Thank you for that information. I thought the Lundsford did look a little big. Plus the Synergy ones are less expensive!

The Lunsford turnbuckles with M3 threads will work, but you would have to expand the inner hole of the Synergy plastic link (https://www.amainhobbies.com/synergy-ball-link-set-10-syn-107-100/p221242) with a drill bit. For the first E5 build, I used the longer Lunsford 1168 (47.63mm length) turnbuckles (https://www.amainhobbies.com/lunsford-punisher-1-7-8-titanium-turnbuckles-4-lns1168/p50430) on the blade grips and the shorter Lunsford 1165 (38.1mm length) turnbuckles (https://www.amainhobbies.com/lunsford-punisher-1-1-2-titanium-turnbuckles-4-lns1165/p50253) on the 3 cyclics.
Now I use the short 43mm Synergy 107-343 turnbuckles (https://www.amainhobbies.com/synergy-turnbuckle-43mm-2-syn-107-343/p488566) for the cyclics and the longer SAB H0170-S (48.26mm length) turnbuckles (http://www.goblin-helicopter.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=22996) for the blade grips. For completion, another M2.5 thread turnbuckle option are the HeliOption HPTB018 M2.5x46mm turnbuckles (http://www.helioption.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=213).

Check with Ralph and FBLROTORS.COM. I use all his turnbuckles and all are adjustable.

The FBLRotors turnbuckles (http://fblrotors.3dcartstores.com/FBL-ROTORS-E5-Titanium-Turnbuckle-Set-Cyclic-Pitch-Set_p_511.html) look awfully similar to the Lunsford turnbuckles. Even the wrench (https://www.amainhobbies.com/lunsford-4mm-aluminum-punisher-turnbuckle-wrench-lns9901/p38308) looks indistinguishable from Lunsford. The only difference I see are the plastic links (http://fblrotors.3dcartstores.com/FBL-Ball-Links-55MM-X-3MM-Quanity-12-Links_p_669.html) which I guess are designed to accommodate M3 threads without needing to expand the hole with a drill bit.

Ralph’s links are also made with tighter tolerances so sizing them is not required.

This is true...........just getting a hold of him is pretty much impossible anymore. I have 3 phone numbers for him, and still can't get a hold of him. I've pretty much given up. Such a shame as he's always treated me well. Your mileage may vary/
