I'm in! Reluctantly every year seems to bring a decent crash?

What caused your crash? It didn't look like much damage.

I was practicing stationary rolls with a strong wind coming from the right side it kept blowing the helicopter to the left. A friendly gentleman suggested to give it a little more collective input during the role to help it not drift to the left. I overcompensated and my natural movement drove her to the ground upside down. Damn thing is just too fast for me? No hard feelings I had 120 so flights on my helis.

As far as the damage goes both sideframes have stress fractures and even though I believe it could've flown that way I decided to change them out anyway. Other than that it wasn't too bad the canopy got crunched a bit but it's still usable. Broke the skids bent the torque to obviously the blades were gone.

Stripped out The servo wheels however the servo whales for the Futaba are very inexpensive 3.99 each.

I did manage to bend the tail shaft feathering shaft and the output shaft for the tail.

All in all I'd say at two $250- $350 crash?

I had two $500 crashes as last year.
This is one of the times I wasn't fast enough to hit the auto bailout feature of them Bavarian Demon. I don't use the bail out as much as I did when I first started flying but it is comforting to have it there.

Under 60 days now!
I'm signed up for NATS competition and The Jamboree.
Still working out other details as last year speed cup and the auto contest caught my eye.

Camping on site 4 as usual. hard to believe that a $600 pop-up camper has been some of the best money I've spent in the hobby...well other than my synergy Helicopters of course!

Best of luck at Nats Alan, really exciting!  I just signed on to play a show at the Shakespeare Festival, the last show is Aug. 9th so I guess I'm out now, but the extra money will really help.

Sorry to hear you guys won't be there. 4Cyclic and I will be arriving on the Sunday night and staying the whole week. Only sad part is we still have to wait 45 days before IRCHA starts.

We will, Alan.  Plus I'll have a look at your canopies mid July to see if I ask you to bring me one of your awesome canopies.

Well. Change of plans. No IRCHA at all for me. My employer is doing a major computer overhaul in August and is not granting PTO that month. Oh well. That will allow me to extend trips to Heli Extravaganza and OHB :-)
