Title: Loving the E5s
Post by: Thunder Fighter on October 26, 2015, 04:29:47 AM
One of the local guys (Ozzy Mozzy) grabbed a video of my playing around with my E5s without me knowing about it. :)

My E5s is performing great and I am really happy with the way it flys. This is my normal low headspeed type of flying, 1700rpm for a little over a minute then up to 1950rpm for the rest of the flight with a nice little auto at the end.

626's,  gives a nice disc loading with the 4035.

My mobile device and I don't always agree on auto correct choices.

That's what I did to my e5 stretch to run 626 blades and the 4035 560 motor did you use the 96 tail blades or the 106, Hope to fly mine this weekend Running Glacier 3600 45c Batteries. Really hoping it does nice autos

Thanks for the nice comments guys.

I went with the 96's but I have also gone to the 4.9:1 tail ratio as well.

I was practicing my F3C autos with the E5s yesterday. That is a downwind loop, with TH at the top of the loop while inverted, then finish the loop and do a wide 180 degree turn back into the wind before landing in the circle. It was a bit harder than with my dedicated F3C machine which runs triple 730mm blades but it was till possible to pull it off with the E5s, so I would say it autos pretty well.
