What tails are you using

If I remember well Matt was using 96mm Rails on his E7 at IRCHA, is this correct....would 105 be to long?

95's do not work very well on the E7, they end up traveling too far and stalling the tail blades which in turn causes skipping teeth on the belt.

Here is what you should run -

E7 - 105 - 110mm
E6 - 95 - 105

I have a set of 110mm tails for my E7 just until I can get my rail 106mm blades in.  I would recommend trying the 105/106mm size first and see what you think.

The 106 Rails work very well.... I dont see needing anymore than that with a 4.66:1 tail ratio.

I am planning to purchase a set of Rail tail blades when the the Rail 693 Mains become available.  For my maiden flight, I put EDGE FBL 693 Mains and EDGE 115 CF tail blades.

115 is almost too long. The tail blades are VERY close to the ground. The tail fin is still longer but only slightly.

115's are huge for this helicopter, especially with a 4.66:1 tail ratio.

Guys that are using 115's are usually trying to compensate for a slower tail such as Trex700.

Can 105's clear on a E6 swinging 625mm mains?

I think they would clear just fine. The E6 can actually swing 630mm main blades.
