I decided I might as well jump into the world of Futaba with both feet...

One of these days I am going to try the Futaba.  Let me know how it goes Rodney!

I had it installed last night and then when I powered it up, found that it was running the V1.2 software.  For some reason, I couldn't get it to update at home, it wouldn't connect.  I brought it to work with me and I was able to update it with my computer here. I will get it all installed tonight and hopefully go through the setup.  I went ahead and ordered the temperature sensor, too, and I'm going to put my one telemetry-ready receiver on the N5c.  I figure it couldn't hurt to have real-time temp readings from the motor while I'm still learning what to listen and look for in a motor tune.

I have been meaning to order the temp sensor to try out on the N5C also.  Let us know how that works Rodney.

I have been wondering how the fbL unit handles compared to Vbar.

The latest firmware (1.3) is getting very close to VBar feel.  I really like the degree to which you can tune the CGY750 and the fact you can set a degree of desired roll rate in the unit and it will comply. No guess work.
You can't beat the tail gyro on the cgy750 either. About the best there is.
They are getting close on another update. From what I saw it will be even better.
