Sounds like a good idea Rodney and congrats! You finally made it home in tact. I bet that feels good after all the crap you've been dealing with.

Rodney, did you check the OWB? there was another thread where someone else was having issues, turned out to be the OWB.

While I had it torn down tonight I swapped out the OWB.  I hope that's where that sound is coming from.  If not, I'm not sure what's next...

Getting really frustrated with trying to get the bank switching and gain values setup with the 14SG.  Posted on the Skookum forum on HF, hopefully I'll have a light bulb moment soon...

What channel does the skookum use for bank switching?
Are you wanting this to change with the flight modes?

Thanks Chris, I may get in touch with you later this week.  I'm so frustrated right now, I don't even want to look at it anymore...  I went through the complete setup last night and then I made a total bonehead mistake.  I had the helicopter facing me as I went through the setup and I ended up with my servo reversing backwards for the swash servos.  Did I mention that it was after 1am when I was doing this?  Doh!  I went to fly it tonight and when I was doing my pre-flight check I noticed it was backwards.  This was where I made bonehead mistake number 2 and just reversed the elevator control in my transmitter.  As soon as the skids came off the ground a few inches the helicopter tried to do a front flip.  I ended up destroying another new set of Rail 716s and my main gear is stripped.

I may need to just go fishing for the next couple of weekends and forget about helicopters. LOL.

I have done that same thing. Checking the swash deflection on the bench with the Heli facing me. Don't beat yourself up too hard. It was late and that is an easy mistake.

I like the idea of fishing. My brother and I took my father fishing last weekend for his birthday/fathers day. We are big cat fishing people. Something about sitting on the rocks at night. So peaceful. One tip, zebco 202 is not a good cat fishing rod and real setup. Caught a 17 pound monster blue cat. The real didn't survive lol. But he was good eating !
