Synergy E7 build question
« on: August 20, 2013, 07:43:16 AM »
Hi

I finally got my shinny new E7, and have started the build.

I do have a question, when putting the main gear I noticed that the one way bearing was turning in the wrong direction, I have flipped the main gear over as read on the forums and re assembled as per the torque tube instructions.

The problem I have is I only have about 0.5 of mm between the main gear and frame, Looking at other build this seems to be about 2-3 mm.

My assembley looks like this

From the bottom up
Auto Hub Sleeve
Main Gear + Auto Hub Assembly
2 x Delrin Shims
Spur Gear + Spur Gear Hub
Jesus Bolt Collar

Can I put the 2 x Delrin Shim after the Auto Hub Sleeve to increase the gap. So assembly would look like this:

From the bottom up
Auto Hub Sleeve
2 x Delrin Shims
Main Gear + Auto Hub Assembly
Spur Gear + Spur Gear Hub
Jesus Bolt Collar

Would this be OK or does someone have a solution.

Is this an SE?  The Delrin Shims should be between the main gear hub and auto gear hub.  Adding extra delrin shims as you described will misalign the sleeve and you will not be able to get the jesus bolt through.
How about posting a pic of the assembled main shaft and gears installed in the heli.  That may help diagnose.
If needed PM me..

Cheers
Alan

Hi

Its a E7.

I dont want add additional shims just move the existing shims positions from the top off the main gear to between the Auto Hub Sleeve and main gear at bottom, so it moves the main gear up a few mm.

Will take photo of the main shaft assembled tonight.
