E7SE with Kosmik & Pyro
« on: September 01, 2013, 07:00:32 AM »
Hi everyone,

After enjoying my E5 for a while I'm planning to order an E7SE. I would like to go with a Kontronik power system. I just wanted to ask and make sure the Kosmik 200 Cool will fit this heli. For the motor, shall I go with the Pyro 800 or 750? Finally, has anyone tried the Competition Pyro motors? I guess they are ordered directly from Germany.

Thanks.

Hello!

Actually the kosmic must have been built with the e7 in mind because the 4 mounting eyelets match up exactly to the esc tray mount. Just leave the cf plate off and bolt the kosmic directly to the braces. Its a very clean look. And the esc tray is recessed a bit. The heat sink on the cool version clears the canopy.

So now we know you are going to have a bad ass power plant,  what's the rest of your setup like?

Oh and the Pyro 750 fits. Not sure about the 800. Inner frame clearance is 62mm

Thanks Chris, I just ordered the SE;) Kosmik Cool will be a perfect fit then. Pyro 800 is 63mm according to the drawings on their website, but I guess its for 800 helis anyways. Pyro 750-50 gives me a headspeed of 1952 at max. 750-56 gives 2186, but I feel thats a bit too much. I should go for the 50 right? I'm planning to use 716 mains and have low headspeeds programmed on the TX as well.

I will check with Kontronik directly about their Competition series. For the servos I will probably go for the new MKS HBL850/880 and Vbar for FC.
