The 320-320 brass tail pitch slider is threaded tightly on the 320-321 tail pitch plate.  If it is already Loctited, I'll leave it alone.  Should I take it apart?  If so, what's the best way to unthread it without destroying it.  Thanks.

Typically you shouldn't need to disassemble that. Check to be sure it's tight though.
I have never needed to disassemble one.

You should check it. Mine was not tight nor did it have thread lock on it. It also uses left hand threads. So righty loosely.

You do not have to tighten the brass into the aluminum that tight. I used blue loctite on mine.

Hi,

It is worth checking the assembly, mine were tight but did not have any loctite on the threads.

As ryamps has already noted the threads are Left-Handed, so worth taking extra care when disassembling and reassembling.

Hope this helps,

It is good to know that the threads are left handed.  Good possibility I would have damaged the part by trying to unthread it in right handed fashion.  However, since the threads are left handed, I think an argument can be made that as the tail blades spin, the tendency is for the threads to tighten.  If that is the case, it seems highly unlikely that the brass slider would separate even without Loctite.

I'll work on it some more, but it is reassuring to learn that the threads are left handed.  Very nice!

Yes most tails spin the the direction the would keep the brass tight unless you have the torque tube for the N5C, which would loosen the brass slider.

Blue loctite is all that is needed and not to tight when assembling.

The Align 550 and 600pro would loosen as the tail spins, so Loctite is a must on those.
