E7SE 710-101 Motor Mount Side Plates -- do they fit on the E5?
« on: October 19, 2013, 09:35:38 PM »
I really like how the 710-101 Motor Mount Side Plates fit on the E7SE.  They not only look sleek, but they also keep the motor mount block and the pinion support bearing block in proper phase.  They also serve as heat sinks.

Are these 710-101 Motor Mount Side Plates also compatible with the E5?

That's a shame.   :'(   They sure would have looked real pretty on the E5.

OMG Ralph.  Those look really nice.  I look forward to the debut in late November.

Are you considering milling motor blocks for the E7SE with four mounting hole option?

I figured out a way to mount the motor on the E5 using four screws.  I feel somewhat uncomfortable entrusting the KDE-495 motor to only two M4 mounting screws on the E7SE.

An E7 version will be out by the first of the year if this one moves well.   I selected the E5 first due to the volume of kits.  You really have to machine a lot of sets to keep the cost down.
