Hi Guys
I have been chasing a small vibe and noise close to the tail of my E7se , i spent weeks trying to find it , changed bearings realigned everything many times , then i noticed that the torque tube was not true, it had run out at each end , so i thought i should try truing it up , with the bearings mounted on the tube i lay the tube on a flat surface with the bearing cases wedged up against a 90 degree piece of aluminum angle to keep the tube in place .
now role the tube and you can see if it is true or not , mine was out 1-2mm at each end , i spent a bit of time gently bending the tube truing it back up. I assembled it all back together very gently , spooled it up on the bench , noise gone, vibe gone and generally a much smoother quieter running heli ,
I personally believe that the alloy torque tube itself might be a little soft and needs to be a slightly stiffer material . I am searching for an arrow shaft with same dimensions , i believe that might be a better option in the long run
just to clarify i have had many flights now after truing up the toque tube and the vibe has not reappeared , so i'm not saying that the original shaft is no good , just a little soft
