Once the links have been mounted on the rod, simply put one link flat against a wooden surface and snap the sizer on.
With the sizer straight in the link, I typically make 2 turns (no pressure on the sizer), then I angle the sizer in the link for a last turn. Repeat for the other link.
This should give you 2 links that have a lot less friction on the ball - remembering that you are NOT shooting for a perfectly smooth fit - at least in my case- since I prefer to let this be reached once on the machine with the initial flights.
I prefer this, than to overshoot with the sizer and end up with a slightly sloppy link (and/or stress the link with repeated snap on/off of the sizer).
