carbon servo arm, pivot ball and M3 nut issue
« on: November 12, 2011, 07:49:13 PM »
Hi all,

I'm experiencing an issue to get the pivot ball to lock/bite the m3 nut when installing them onto the carbon servo arm. It seems the pivot ball screw is not long enough/the carbon servo arm is too thick. Has anybody encountered this? any tips and tricks? thanks

2 out of 3 carbon servo arms were definitely too thick so I dremel'd them a bit to fix the issue. it's all good now, hopefully I didn't degrade the strength of the carbon arms.

The servo horn ball threads were between 1/2 to one thread too short to be flush with the outside of the nut on my kit. The threaded part of the servo ball links should be one or two mm longer. Use red Loctite... ;)
