E7SE Tail Box

Today I got (5) flights
all went well, I'm getting use to how the heli fly. However, I do have a question on the tail box mushroom gear 320-220 20T. Do the gear fit all the way in the tail assy? What I have is the gear rubs on the right tail plate 320-402 a little. Its just enough to make me wonder.
Thanks,
Charles

Hmmm... not normal. Something doesn't sound right. That gear should be butter smooth with no rubbing on anything. I'm having a hard time imagining how it could possibly rub on the tail box plate at all. Are you perhaps talking about the chamfered edge of the bearing holder? If so, then yes, it could be that your mushroom gear is not fully seated in its housing.
Here is a crummy ipad photo of mine to give you a frame of reference.

That's it, I'll take a closer look and let you know what I find from the dis-assy.
