E5 super stretch ?
« on: December 27, 2014, 06:04:56 PM »
Ok here is a question

Other than cutting out the frames a little to clear a bigger motor diameter

Can you stretch a E5 to a 700?

Short answer, yes. You don't need to cut out the frames to clear a motor if you stay in the 4035 series range. I super stretched mine and used a 4035-500. Plenty of power and flight time.
Thanks,

I don't understand why you would want to do that as Symergy has an outstanding entry into the 700 E  market.

the super stretch is more common than some think. they are very very light, i know some guys use them to stretch for their speed machines. it also helps to keep only one set of spare part laying around (specifically TT gears and such).
