What is the fix for canopy mounts near the muffler pipe try to screw the thumb screws in looks like you may burn yourself? What a pain to put on!

Some people use the front mounts from the N7.  I just use the thumb screws, myself.

I use the N7 mounts. Get the "U" channel mounts, post & canopy washer..  Ull also need a long 3mm screw for each post.. A 3x8mm for the "U" mount. Measure the length of the stock N5C post and subtract the length of the N7 post... Thats how far Ull need to shim out the N7 mounts.. U may want to add a few mm to that distance to help with canopy clearance of the main gear.. U can shim out using 3mm washers.. Synergy tail washers are thick & would work well.. I opted to cut the stock N5C post & used the cut portion to shim out with. This is such a nice mod.. Even used it on the E7SE. Hope this helps.

I use the easy mount canopy screws for the N5. They screw into the existing mounts up front. No fuss, no muss.
