Bell Crank issue
« on: February 18, 2016, 02:46:05 AM »
Hi to all guys,

I start with the build of my N5C and as far i can say that i am very very exciting with it!!  :D
the quality of the carbon and metal piecies are at a top level and the overall resault so far is fantastic..

But yesterday  :(  i came up with a problem, one of the pivot ball cannot tighten to the bell crank (aileron),
it turn freely..seems like the hole has lose the spiral inside, i try with another pivot ball with the same resault.

Attached is a pic from the manual that describe my issue (maybe help you guys to understand better what i'm trying to say)..

I already order one Bell Crank but i am afraid if i have the same issue.

I want to say that all other pivot ball tighten as they should be on the others holes on both bell cranks except that one...
Anyone of you face it ?? is there any other way to overcome with the issue and use this bell crank or i should better change it for good??

If the ball won't tighten up then there is certainly something wrong.

Does the ball look like the rest? Same thread size and what not?

Hi chris,

Yes the pivot ball is the same as the others, i also try this pivot ball to the 2 other holes of the bell crank and it tighten as it should be.. the spesific hole seems to be a little bigger than the others..

is there a longer pivot ball so i can tighten with a nutt at the back of the bell crank?
I allready order a new one and pivot ball, just curious if i can fix it and use it as backup control arm in the future..
