E6 setup for sport flying/begining 3d help
« on: December 02, 2011, 08:38:10 PM »
I have my kit should have the electronics around the 1st of the year. Is the power system too much for sport flying/begining 3d?

You will just love your E6 with this set-up.
Never too much, it only depends of the FBL system you use, just set it up to your liking.

Just dial your head speed down a little (2200rpm range) and set up your fbl controller for a mode docile setting and I think you will be very happy with the heli! The electronics you have chosen are good quality and certainly sufficient enough for sport or 3D flying!

Let us know how you like it when it is all built and flying  ;D

Best,
-Steve

Would S9452 servos on the cyclic work well, eventhough they are not brushless? They are MG and can handle 6V @ .11 sec

I think your configuration will be great.  You can easily tame the heli for mild and take to wild when your ready.  Remember to keep the E7 parts in the box handy, once you ahve a taste, the included stretch upgrade can be hard to resist!
