e-5s
« on: January 22, 2018, 10:04:16 AM »
Hey Guys, My e-5s 626 blades , 120 cc , scorpion motor, seems to lost its punch, Now there no binding anywhere, ship has 1700 flights. The batteries are glacier 3700 12s, had 2 sets, one set bad cell in each pack. The last pack shows good on all 12 cells. NO swelling of any cells. Still brick hard. Or maybe my motor is going. Can A Battery lose it punch? Flight is about the same but lose the punch on pull outs.

Hey Cliff,
Have you looked at the IR's on each cell at the end of the charge cycle. Higher Internal resistance numbers would indicate the pack is dying. Depending on the C rating you should see IR's below 5. On new 45c packs you should see 1.5-3. on 60c packs that number should be lower. It only takes one cell to mess things up as well. Even if the cells aren't swollen.
Cheers
Alan
