Has anyone left the teflon heat shrink tubing off of the tail control rod? Im getting a bit of drag from it and am thinking about cutting it off. im worried about rattling and other downsides to removing it though.
Thoughts?

I also thought the Teflon tubing was not as slippery as expected. I added some thin synthetic grease to lessen the drag. If you removed it you would need to add something like brass tubing to take up the space and so the carbon tube would not wear.

Hi,
When you made it to hot while shrinking, it will be sticky...without the tube u have alot of play....
I would made a new one on the control rod...

I've had this happen by getting it too hot. I used to use a lighter and quickly found out that is not the best way at all. I used a temperature controlled heat gun, and it's much much better, and not sticky.
