Fan shroud too close to exhaust manifold?
« on: August 18, 2018, 01:39:22 PM »
So I've noticed that the fan shroud sits very close to the exhaust manifold.  Has anyone had issues with the fan shroud warping or melting? I'm using a funtech 60-type 3D pipe with an OS55HZR.

What heli? You shouldn't have any issues as long as everything is put together correctly as described in the manual. The pipe does get warm but not warm enough to warp the shroud to the point that it is going to effect function. Pictures would also be helpful.

Thanks!

N556.  I had a few flights with it over the weekend and didn't have any issues with the shroud.

Thanks for the reply.
