Can 615-124L be used with N7?

Hi.  Are 615-124L(from 556) and 615-124(N7) interchangable?

Dimensionally they are the same and will fit. The L version should work in place of the regular one everywhere except for the N5 and N5C Belted. There is no flat spot for the belt cog.
Structurally I would think it is equally up to the task except in a crash.  May bend easier?? I know hollow verses solid shafts seem to be a topic of debate.  Maybe Matt will chime in here.

Thanks Alan!  Not to worried about crash worthiness for shafts as with my luck they seem to bend no matter how strong they are.
