N5C Glow ignitor ?
« on: November 05, 2011, 06:24:32 PM »
Hi,

I've been away from the hobby for a few years and there's a boatload of new electronics.  What is everyone using for the glow plug ignitor; switchglow, pushglow  neither?

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks

I use a switchglo with a push button wire. The push glow will save some weight but both work extremely well!

I use SwitchGlo Pro and GLOve device (it automates the starts and prevents hot starts as well as eliminates all the complicated radio programming for the switchglo.  it uses rpm sensor to detect engine cranking and automatically activates switchglo pro. if it detects low idle it will re-active the glo plug to help prevent stalling)

Only Glow ignitor !

You don't need to use too much electronics on your heli !

Electronics can fail !!!

Less electronics than possible !!

I use Pushglo. I love it. Good price, works well, and a nice slim and small design.

I use the RCATS external glow driver. I've been using one for a year now. Charge it once or twice a year. Great product. Less on board electronics the better. http://www.rcatsystems.com/rc.php

I got an gryphon auto boost which is great, apart from if you're using a v bar as it does not like it

Use a pushglow - weighs like 10 grams.
