Head shims

After a dozen flights I notice a small sideways movement on the blade grips.  Has anyone used shims on the head to remove small movement?

I asked a similar question a while back. I noticed mine has play up and down which is basically the same as sideways.

The answer was, as long as there is no in-and-out play, you're good to go.

I wouldn't shim it just in case that play is of benefit.
