E7 10S?
« on: January 21, 2012, 11:17:16 AM »
Hey, guys, I'm considering an E7 and would like to run it on 10S if possible. I have 8 Voltz 5S 4500 45C packs that I run in my Logo 600SE and would like to share them with the E7 to minimize the hit to my wallet. From what I've read, the E7 is capable of running in 10S configuration, but most seem to be running at least 12S. I'm an intermediate pilot and mostly do big air stuff and some basic inverted maneuvers, but I'm beginning to move into some mild 3D. My Logo 600SE runs great in this config, but the HS is limited by its design with 690's, and I could certainly use more HS with my sloppy collective.  :P

Anyway, am I going to be happy with 10S, or should I bite the bullet and spring for some 6S packs?

You can run it 10S without a problem. Just make sure you get the right pinion to achieve the desired head speed.

700 size IMO should only be 12s but I'm sure as mentioned above it will be fine.

Only thing you may have balance issues with 2 x 5s 4500's?
