Castle firmware 4.01 and Hacker 470KV
« on: April 08, 2012, 06:50:21 PM »
I'm running my E7 with the Hacker 470kv with 14T pinion governed at 2100 rpm, timing at 3. Seems like it just doesn't hold the head speed when going through zero pitch. The head speed decays quite a bit when doing standing rolls or flips. It's not bogging just not staying up to speed. Almost like low battery power. I went from 8 gov gain to 12 without seeing much of a difference. Would have tried 18 gov gain but ran out of batteries today. I did try going back to 3.27 firmware mid pack and everything was great at 8 gov gain. Has any one else tried the newest Castle firmware with the Hacker 470? If so, what gov gain are you using? - Thanks!

Tried gov gains up to 25 this morning. At 25 I began to feel some chatter. However, little to no improvement in holding the headspeed through zero on standing rolls. It just gradually decays. Firmware 3.27 holds fine. If anyone has settings that have worked with 4.01 and the hacker, please post. There are reportedly some significant reliability enhancements in 4.01. Thanks!
