Ok, so it sounds like the E7 should be able to do 6 min and a 700 electric doesn't cost that much more than a 600 electric. I know you have to spend a little more in servos, motor, esc, blades, etc., but the batteries won't cost much more. Here's one burning question I have. Is there a way to do the E7 with a 10S 5000maH set up instead of a 12S around 4000maH?
The reason why I ask is I also fly airplanes and that's how I got started in the hobby. I enjoy both and take both a heli and a plane to the field 95% of the time. The reason to go with 10S 5000maH would be that is a standard pattern plane electric set up. So, if I moved to a place where pattern is popular and started flying pattern (currently I'm flying IMAC which is similar but different than pattern), I would have dual purpose battery packs.
