Hi, I am Mark Larson. I am a recent addition to the Synergy Team and I am VERY happy and proud to be in this family.
I started in RC much like Matt, I was young and saw my first RC car. My parents bought me a few of the cheaper ones from Kmart and Target but soon, I had saved enough money to purchase a Tamiya Hornet. I spent TONS of time with that car. When we moved to Arizona, I was still in school and the RC hobby was put on the shelf in favor of the typical high Schools stuff like girls and cars. Eventually, I married, had 2 kids (both boys) and things started settling down a bit. It wasn't long until I stumbled back into a hobby shop, I had found though that I was no longer interested in ground RC. I moved into sailplanes. I flew these for several years then met up with a guy at my job that introduced me to power planes. At the time, I was working for Rotorway International, We manufactured privately owned, Experimental helicopters. I was in LOVE with helicopters. But power planes were in the budget.
After a couple years in power planes, I funded my first RC helicopter. Honestly, I was bored with flying in only one direction.
I have been flying Helicopters ever since. It's been a little over 10 years now in helis. I'm sure not at matt's level or even some of the other team members but I am burning fuel weekly and progressing nicely. It won't be long I think until I am ready to at least put on a good show and hold my own with the rest of the team on the flight line. In the mean time, I am eager to spread the word about our fine product line and help new comers to the hobby with the experience I have accumulated.
I also have made friends with just about every hobby shop owner within a 50 mile radius here in my area. It seems like this is a very small community and everyone knows everyone else at least by reputation. I carried that feeling over to the brand of Helicopter I prefer. Matt has a VERY solid reputation in this hobby and I am impressed with the quality and engineering that went into the Synergy Helicopters.
Thanks again and please feel free to contact me if any of you need help, parts or just someone to talk with.
