Another Bellcrank Installation Post..I have Lateral and up/down play

I have a few mm up/down play and side to side play but it's only the left most crank with play.  The elevator and right side don't move sideways.  The entire assembly has a bit of up/down play that I can see when the servos move under power.  I can put pressure on the swash/blades and see it tweak. 

This can't be good for the FBL unit and may explain why I get different degree readings when setting 750 AFRs.

It seems like the flanged bearings are tweaking in the frames - I wonder if I shouldn't goop or maybe green loctite them into the frame?

What side is the flange on inside or outside?

Maybe add a shim between the bell crank and spacer to take out the slop.
Any side to side play and the bearings in the bell crank will slop around.
Also could be the flange bearings are sloppy.
Look at Matt's tip about building the the tail box and apply it to the flange bearings on the frame.
It wont work if there's too much space though.

+1 for Rocky, To add to that use only CA glue to glue the Bearings in.. I personally would disassemble the whole bellcrank system, Push the bearings out with your fingers, Check the Flange bearings for slop like Rocky stated, and clean the frame with a good cleaner to break down any nitro oil or oil residue period, reinstall "SQUARE" with CA letting it "WICK" around the bearings.  Let it set overnight and reassemble the next day.  Also if you haven't done it, where the Grub screws screw through the actual bellcranks, Sand the "contact side" of the grub screw flat and reinstall, this will allow for a bigger foot print in regards to engaging the "Flat" in the shaft..  good luck, You'll get it licked before you know it..

I think it's the flanged bearings - I recall them falling out of the frame quite a bit when I was building it and thinking I should do something to keep them in better.  I think they're flopping around in the frame hole.  Let me play with it this week and I'll report back.

+ 1 on what Kevin said. The only thing I would add is to use a Q tip and run some CA in the hole on the bare carbon frame and let dry then check the fit of the bearing in the hole.

I had this same issue on mine.  First it was side to side then once that was eliminated it was up and down.  Turns out mine was the same thing, loose flange bearings in the frame.  I disassembled and used some CA to hold em in place then reassembled.  No more play.
