washout hub upside down?
« on: July 28, 2012, 04:01:52 PM »
Looks like my washout hub was assembled backward in my new E7 kit. In order for the links to snap on the swash the arms need to be upside down compared to what is shown in the manual. It looks like the plastic links need to be swapped side to side and the base flipped? Any harm in leaving it like it is. I hate fooling with those tiny C rings...;^)

Can you just flip the whole assembly? You should be able to remove the head and then the swash driver, flip the driver 180 degrees and reinstall it.

After looking at it carefully the whole assembly looks symmetrical and it should be fine as is?? Anyway, thanks for the input.

There is a little confusion on the washout / swash driver assembly. The plastic "pork chop" arms are molded so that if you install it per the manual, the "small" side of the ball link opening is oriented the wrong way. If you are okay with that, then just install it that way or flip it over. I have noticed several machines with it both ways.
