Just some facts from day 1 with my 12S E6, here's the setup, and it's a good one:
Castle ICE2 120HV (governor mode)
Thunder Power 6S 65C 3850mah
Hacker A50-12L Turnado
15T Pinion
VBar Mini "Blueline" 5.2
Futaba 6203SB rx
Futaba BLS-255's (cyclic)
Futaba BLS-256 (tail)
Western Robotics Hercules BEC @ 8.4v
Rail 606 / Rail 96
Roughly 15 flights today, a few easy to get started then I basically beat the crud out of the heli for the rest of the day.
The Hacker was surprising, really smooth and quiet, big power and didn't get unusually hot. Coupled with the helical gear it is a *really* quiet combo, basically blade noise and not even much of that. Can't overstate just how quiet, it was "wow" quiet.
I was burning roughly 2800mah per flight governed at 2300rpm. My BEC is wired directly into the main batteries (no rx pack).
My flying style is pretty aggressive, probably due to my inherit lack of grace, so I tend to do a lot of fast and hard transitions and stops.
Here it is: 6 minute flight times, all day long, nice!!!
Wow, unexpected, and still room for another easy 30 seconds before hitting 80% consumption soft ceiling.
Everything was coming down warm but not hot, I could hold my fingers on the motor and on the ESC.
The exception being the batteries, they were just barley above ambient, even with constant and immediate charges they somehow managed to never get hot, just a little warm. These are new packs, first day.
I changed to the Hacker last minute, good choice, it really did great.
The Castle governor and auto bail-out mode exceeded my expectations.
Of course the airframe took everything I threw at it.
Great combo, highly recommended. Hope this helps you guys with your setups.
