On the underside of the servo tray.

I don't know if that will be the best place for the sensor, I have mine on top of the servo mount where you have the unit fitted, and works good with no problems.

Noted, but honestly, what's the difference? We apparently have ours mounted on the same component, right?

I can't think of any problem with that location, just never seen it done before!

Well, she's ready to maiden. Hopefully I will get a chance to take her up this weekend. Although I'm confident that the guys at my club will help me out, just in case I'm the only one there, I have one question. Do you guys recommend disabling the governor for the run-in and tuning flights?

I disabled the governor for the maiden flight, but left it on for all subsequent flights.

I just didn't do much other than hovering for a few flights 8 I guess. Then slowly started adding more moves.

I've run about a gallon through it now. Still tweaking the vbar tail setup, as it has a slow wag at the moment. Lowering the I-gain took care of about 90% of it, but I want to get rid of the rest. Mechanically, this is the smoothest tail of my fleet (links have been meticulously sized, etc.), so I'm 99% confident it's not a binding issue.

I'm pretty much clueless on tuning the engine. I haven't messed with the needles a whole lot yet, as I wanted to get a gallon or so through it before I started to tune. But this thing is pouring smoke and feels really rich at factory settings. On my last two flights, I tried leaning both the high and mid, but honestly I didn't notice much difference. I went about a half turn in on both needles, but I didn't want to go any further until someone with some experience can help me. I'm hoping to catch up with some of the nitro guys at my club in the next few days, so hopefully that will help. Right now, I'm at about 1/2 turn on mid and 1 1/2 turns on high from fully closed. This is on an OS 55HZR.

I had a slow wag in hover that turned out to be gov gain being too low. Of course I turned it up too much and then had a surging engine :)
