Blade Bolt Adapters issue
« on: August 24, 2013, 08:54:09 PM »
Putting my E7SE together and I am unable to get the outside sets of radial bearings out of the head because the Blade Bolt Adapters seem to be already red loctited in or?  Tried my trusty heat gun as well as the kitchen ove so far with no luck, bearings fall out fine with heat but can't get them past the Blade Bolt Adapters because the Blade Bolt Adapters stick out to far into the inside wall of the blade grips to let the bearings slide past.  My E5 doesn't have this same issue. Anyone else run into this?
Thanks,
Jeff

The blade bolt adapters are probably just snug. I have yet to see any that were loctited in place at the factory. Have you used some heat on the grips to help with the adapter removal?

Tried both the kitchen oven at 250 degrees as well as my heat gun and not sure what to try next as I don't want to damage the blade grips or the adapters  :'(

Try the freezer for about 30 minutes. Use an old main shaft or etc to push them out from the the inside of the grip. Heat the grips right after frig removal may also do it.
