Help with used heli Rebuild - Stiff Anti-Rotation Arms
«

I'm in the process of rebuilding some E7 helis and the anti rotation arms are stiff on all of them. By stiff I meant they won't fall under their own weight with a good firm jiggle. They are stiffer than ball links should be after sizing. Is this normal?
It looks like there is not enough room in the plastic arm for the metal and the plastic is bending as shown (exaggerated) in the attached drawing.
Any advice would be appreciated.

They are normally a little stiff, and won't fall under their own weight. Just make sure they move smoothly and that the bearings are not notchy

The bearings seem smooth under pressure however the force required to move the arms varies as the arm rotates. It seems like there is a bit of interference between the throat of the plastic arm and the bearing surfaces. Maybe like what you would expect if there was a bit of flashing on the plastic but there isn't.

Good eye. The one in the photo is junk. I have 3 sets with similar issues. I'll place an order this weekend but was hoping to fly.

Could be your bearings being not smooth. insert a small pointed dowel and press and turn to test them after removing the plastic part and pin.
