N7 Canopy mounts in my E7!

Just so everyone knows it can be done with ease...
I elongated the front canopy holes with a small dremel bit to accommodate the N7 mount. Just be sure to center the elongation at the existing location. Another words elongate both the front and rear of the hole equally.
I replaced the existing key chain style female with the male N7 canopy mount post. I did add one tail spacer washer between it and the frame. Without the washer my main gear rubbed.  I used a 18x3mm socket head screw to attach the post.
Here are pics. I will add one showing the elongated hole to accomaodate the mount tomorrow.

BTW.. The mounts came from my second N7 kit.  Matt should have parts in very soon... Hope he ordered extra canopy mounts :-)

Rodney. I don't think this will work on the N5C. You will have some clearance issues with the muffler. The plastic sockets on the canopy need to engage in the groves on the posts. This will push out the canopy I believe and cause problems with muffler clearance. Matt had indicated that these will work on everything except the N5C.

Absolutely, they rock!  That's why I was so excited about fitting them to the N5C.
