Tail Servo for the E5?
« on: January 12, 2014, 04:29:44 PM »
What would you all recomend?

I'm just curious because I MAY have to purchase a new one and would like to browse around....

A friend is sending me his align 650 to test to see if the tail servo is the issue, would this be enough?

Thanks

Spec sheet looks good just make sure you put a in-line regulator at 5.1V its not rated for anything higher than 4.8V

Oh that's true! I've never had to deal with that before.
What would I need exactly?

http://www.ronlund.com/rcheli-prod/ALIGN_ACC/K10381A.html

I've been using these for years with Zero issues , I cut the plugs off and soldier it into the servo wire but not necessary

Some other good options (all HV) are Torq Outrage 9188, Protek R/C 250S, RJX FS0521THV

I've been running a 251 on 6v, for quite a while, no problems. The BLS256 is better if you want to go HV.

Thanks guys!

My savox tail servo wasn't the problem, turns out the Vbar does something weird when on the ground, it has a small "pause" i'm guessing when it shows the tail isn't moving.

WHen i went into the parameters menu it worked just fine ( no limitations from vbar gyro )

Will definitely get a 251 or 256 when i decide to upgrade my cylic servos from align to HV futaba ones!
